Thanks to Yee San's pestering I have now given in and have decided to 'blog'. : ) So, urm, I guess the main purpose of my 'blogging' is to probably let you all know what I've been up to lately. Hehe.
Well, I've been here in Birmingham for the past 3 weeks now and have pretty much settled into routine-ish things. I don't really lose direction anymore. Hehe. : )
People here are quite friendly. They'll just talk to you for no reason. It's quite fun. : ) Of course, the sort of, culture of people going out drinking and coming home in the wee hours of the morning singing drunken songs, playing with the dumpster's contents and yelling out profanities came as a bit of a shock to me (but was also quite entertaining. HEHE.).
It's quite nice here. I have a very scenic 25 minute walk every single day to get to lectures. The scenery involves big buses and fast moving cars as I trundle along the sidewalk which is lined with holly bushes (evil prickly things). But of course, these walks give me time to reflect on things and of course, miss home and have intense cravings for asam laksa (with extra fishies and hae ko).
Schedule's been pretty tight. With the abundance of reading I have to do and all sorts. But it gets more and more interesting everyday. I had my first GP placement on Thursday which was surprisingly fun. Got to do all those doctory things like poke&prod at patients and stuff. Muahahaha.. (Oop. For those who don't know, I'm doing Medic.)
But yeah. It's all been pretty good. I really miss you guys and the stupid things we get up to. Even though I was only part of Simply for, less than 2 months, it was a great time for me. You guys really took me in and as Rachel said, made me feel welcome. I'm already anticipating my summer holidays so that I can be back home and hang out with you guys. (Aww..)
But yeah. There are quite a lot of things that have gone on here. I am really quite lazy to put it all down here so, if you want to know can ask me lah k. ;)
