Sonshine Music Festival!

I just came back from Sonshine festival. It was awesome! It is a Christian Music concert with 25,000 people camping there. I watched CHRIS TOMLIN,TOBY MAC, THIRD DAY, DAVID CROWDER BAND etc...I think there were supposed to be approximately 150 bands playing from 10am to 12am ...they were great. Initially Jeremy Camp, Newsboys will be there too but we had a storm at that night so it got canceled. Our tents were all collapsed and we had to sleep in the van. Thank God that it's really sunny the next day and we can dry our sleeping bags, clothes and tent.

You'll be shocked at what people brought to camp here. They had sofas, pool, foosball table, and some other usual stuff like card games, board games etc...we had 5 Malaysians going and 2 guys from the same uni going together. One of them is the regular..and had been there for 17 years...(it's the 25th anniversary for sonshine this year). He usually organize a trip there and got the camp area that is closest to the stages. We had one canopy with all the sofas, table, chairs, games under it and each tent that fits 2 person. We also had a mini stage to host Sonshine Idol...there were about 30 people signed up for that...it was fun!

Being in Minnesota for 10 months with 6 months covered with snow makes me feel hot even though the weather is about 27 degree...usually Sonshine happens at the hottest day of summer here and it will sure have storm or tornado one day before..but it came late this year and hit us...the weather is about 36 degree...and this is really terribly hot..thank god it's quite cool at night (about 20 degree) and we get to sleep well.
It was really a nice time there...apart from worshiping God with nice music, I've made some new friends too..they are hilarious...it's a wonderful experience
